Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
– No 4
Saline Township
Section 25, Township
42 North, Range 15 West
Miller County, MO.
From Eldon you go Hwy 54
toward Jefferson City, to the Jct. of Hwy FF in Mt. Pleasant, about a mile; and
turn to the right into Mt. Pleasant. A
half a block and you will come to a T.
At the T you will be facing a housing duplex. To the east and left of that duplex is what
was once a small grocery store. To the
east and left of that old store is a residence that was once owned by Jean
Blankenship and the cemetery lay to the east and left side of that home. When we went there to inventory the small
cemetery we were told that she had her son remove the stones because she did
not know any of the people. Now they lay
in a pile stacked among other stones behind the residence. Some of the records I got from Miller County
and some of the stones were illegible.
This cemetery is not longer in
use.
